Job Description The Administrator is an hourly position that reports to the Inventory Lead. In this position, the administrator supports the activities of floor personnel by scheduling, documenting and filing completed inbound / outbound paperwork and completing files for shipments for our client. Successful candidate will excel in the following areas: Must be punctual for work and be available for over-time that may extend the day based on business need or late order loadouts. The administrator may work on the floor, in the office or in the warehouse, depending on where their efforts are required. Must have excellent people skills with team, clients and business partners. The candidate must be a self-starter and is expected to ask questions if directions are not clear or if they do not fully understand instructions given by their direct supervisor or general management. The Administrator may be responsible for coordinating the shipping and receiving of material for a single or multiple clients daily. Strong attention to detail is required, there are standard shipping and receiving processes that must be followed every time to support outbound and inbound records, consistency with this process is very important. Must be detail oriented and have had former experience with ERP or WMS systems. Excels in communication with internal team, truck drivers, brokers and other external clients. Candidate may audit, count and take multiple photographs of all inbound / outbound shipments under their assigned areas including accurate product labeling. Candidate may direct hourly material handlers in the loading and unloading of materials. Candidate may also pre-alert (schedule in) shipments in general using a daily ---share point--- file. This file must contain accurate information for the whole team to view and must be entered in a timely fashion. The candidate may provide documents, inventory information and other communications directly with the client that they are supporting with approval from management. After shipments are received, labeled and put away, any prepared files must be assembled and filed in appropriate areas by the administrator and any communication required being updated in a timely manner (daily) Candidate must be cognizant of general office equipment, operation of a laptop or PC and other general office equipment. It is helpful that the candidate has a background in a high-volume shipping or distribution environment with order preparation and BOL familiarity but is not required. Familiarity with Cargo Wise WMS system is helpful but not required. The candidate may drive golf carts or side by sides to transport themselves or others to active locations within a large warehouse safely. The activities of this position may be performed individually or within a team structure that may include direction or assistance from both management and peers. The PPE required for this position is: Steel toe or composite foot ware, safety vest and hard hat on all floor or outside areas: This position may work both inside and outside in all types of weather conditions and in all temperatures depending on where material is stored, received or shipped. The Candidate must be able to bend, turn, lift, twist and lift up to 25 lbs as is necessary. The candidate must be able to hear and understand verbal, written communication. Working safely is critical, sober eye testing twice daily is also a condition of employment.
