Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Reno, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 03:00 PMTue07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWed07:00 AM - 03:00 PMThur07:00 AM - 03:00 PMFri07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, site contacts, and/or public agency personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns. Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying credentials and/or permissions while following post orders and applicable use of force guidelines. Support security-related operations by preparing incident reports, noting unusual activity, and assisting with crowd management, public interactions, and/or response coordination during special events or elevated activity. Minimum Requirements: Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
