This opportunity is for a paraprofessional position supporting K-12 students in various classrooms across El Dorado County. The role focuses on assisting students with moderate to severe behavioral needs, providing essential support either in a 1:1 capacity or as a general classroom aide. Experience working with special education populations and managing challenging behaviors is highly valuable in this role. Key Qualifications: Active CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification Current CPR certification Experience working with students exhibiting high behavioral needs Ability to provide support in both individual and group classroom settings Flexibility to work at various school locations across El Dorado County, including El Dorado Hills, Shingle Springs, Placerville, and Camino Location:El Dorado County, California (including El Dorado Hills, Shingle Springs, Placerville, and Camino) Responsibilities: Assist teachers in managing classrooms with students who have moderate to severe behavioral challenges Provide one-on-one support to students as needed, helping with academic tasks and behavior management Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment according to CPI guidelines Work collaboratively with educators and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Adapt support strategies based on student needs and classroom dynamics Benefits: Opportunity to gain valuable experience in special education settings Work within a supportive team focused on student success Contract position with the potential for ongoing assignments within the county If you hold active CPI and CPR certifications and have experience working with students with significant behavioral challenges, this position offers a meaningful way to impact student growth.
