Job Description:
OverviewThe PSM Manager is responsible to oversee the Process
Safety Management (PSM) compliance initiatives and internal audit
programs for Cyanco Facilities. The position works closely with
site personnel and leadership to collaborate all aspects of PSM
efforts to ensure compliance with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP
requirements, as well as adherence to company and site policies and
procedures.
Essential Duties
- Creates process safety management procedures and oversees the
PSM Systems.
- Maintains a leadership role in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)
and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) for both existing and new
processes and equipment.
- Prepares management reports on metrics and key indicators of
overall PSM systems health.
- Maintains internal audit programs to assure compliance with PSM
elements and regulatory requirements.
- Oversees the implementation of management system changes and
adherence to work processes. Maintains metrics for PSM work
processes and documents PSM programs to demonstrate compliance with
internal and external requirements.
- Conduct and lead risk assessments as needed.
- Coordinates incident investigations. Maintain investigation
records and recommendations for follow-up.
- Maintains and oversees the Management of Change work process
and tools.
- Maintain the corrective action database for incidents and
audits.
- Provides PSM and safety training as required.
- Participates in safety reviews and audits for unit shutdowns
and normal operations.
- Audits safe work, hot work, and confined space permits for
correct completion.
- Fulfills training and technical certification requirements as
necessary to perform the required duties.
- Perform any tasks that may be assigned which will contribute to
the achievement of the Companys strategic objectives.
- Foster a culture that promotes ethical practices and legal
compliance, encourages customer service, individual integrity,

social responsibility.
- Act as liaison between Cyanco and state, safety and
environmental regulators.
- Approximately 50% travel time each month.Non-Essential Duties:
Performs all other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and
Abilities
- Strong knowledge of PSM as it applies to chemicals,
manufacturing, maintenance or safety.
- Solid knowledge of Chemical Engineering principles and safety
systems and regulations.
- Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations;
familiar with OSHA 1910 standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and a systematic approach to
problem definition and solution development.
- Experience in PSM auditing, auditing methodology, and
training.
- Ability to effectively lead and implement change within an
organization.
- Strong leadership skills including but not limited to coaching,
mentoring, performance management, team building, problem
resolution, active listening, training and development.
- Ability to think analytically and strategically, act tactically
and embrace rapid change.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong
presentation skills, with the ability to speak comfortably to small
and large groups.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead
multidisciplinary projects or strategic initiatives impacting the
organization. Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and
accurately.
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently, with limited
direction.
- Seeks opportunities to enhance technical understanding of
others.

Education and Certification
- B.S. in science or engineering preferredMinimum Experience
- 3-5 years in PSM and RMP related experience. Refining,
petrochemical industry or process related industry experience is
preferredPhysical Requirement Reasonable accommodation may be made

- Regularly required to sit, handle or feel; reach with hands and

- Required to regularly use technology tools including computers,
cell phones, etc.
- Required to stand, walk, and squat

- Ability to carry objects weighing up to 30 pounds
