This is a growth opportunity as this location recently opened and will grow rapidly under the right leadership. This includes machining, welding, and millwright work for Cement, Power, and other industrial clients.Duties and Responsibilities:Meet all production objectives and deadlines.Teach, coach, and demonstrate work activities for team members.Responsible for coordinating, assigning, and the final quality of all work.Direct staff on priority of work to be accomplished.Accountable for ensuring that all team members receive required instruction in safety procedures, proper use of equipment, and other workplace and company policies, procedures and practices.Perform all duties in a safe manner utilizing all required PPE being constantly aware of others in the work area.Maintain timely, effective, and professional communications with all internal and external personnelResponsible for effective record keeping, filing, and other administrative duties as required.Responsible for reporting any accidents or incidents that occur within the designated facility.Monitor working conditions regularly to ensure the safety of all team members.Implement timely corrective action as required.Apply problem solving techniques to ensure all personnel and quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.Responsible to plan for and schedule building and equipment maintenanceInterface effectively with coworkers in a manufacturing environment.Other duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:This position will have direct supervisory responsibilities.Your profileRequired Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:Proficient in reading and understanding engineering drawings containing section views, weld symbols, and geometric tolerances.Minimum of 10 years of experience in a machine shop, welding, or assembly environment.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a supervisor.Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, tools, and principals involved in cutting, flux core welding, and submerged arc welding.Preferred Qualifications:College degree, Engineering preferredWork Conditions/Physical Demands:Safety conscious; contributing to a safe working environment for oneself and all others.The ability to work in workshop environment (physical exertion and noise)Key Attributes to be Successful in this position:Hands-on and proactive problem solving skills.Quality mindset.Works well with others in a team environmentPunctual and the ability to manage time independently with minimal supervision.Travel DemandsSome travel to customer sites in the West Coast required.Attend meetings as required.ContactIf you are an applicant with a California residency, please click on the following link: California Job Applicant Notice of CollectionYour benefitsthyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions recognizes and appreciates the exceptional quality of its employees.
