Job Description:

SUMMARY: The Director of Enterprise Architecture has responsibility to oversee and drive the development and support of enterprise initiatives and the current state and future state blueprints across business, data, applications, and infrastructure architecture layers. He/she manages the Enterprise Architecture group, facilitate coordination with business unit architects, SMEs, IT leadership, and Enterprise PMO, and stays current on business and IT strategy as it applies to SNC. The right candidate supports a shared vision across the enterprise while building collaborative relationships across the Organization. Ability to manage ambiguity and demonstrates resilience and change agility to drive results in a highly regulated environment.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:--------

  • Manage the Enterprise Architecture group and facilitate coordination with business unit architects, SMEs, IT leadership, and Enterprise PMO
  • Oversee and drive the development of Enterprise Architecture deliverables including support of enterprise initiatives and the current state and future state blueprints across business, data, applications, and infrastructure architecture layers
  • Define and maintain the enterprise architecture initiative road-map
  • Oversee architecture governance to ensure alignment of IT products/projects with enterprise standards and blueprint
  • Provide architecture guidance to enterprise programs and high priority, architecturally significant programs within individual business units
  • Resolve enterprise architecture issues and engage IT leadership for high priority issues and decisions
  • Consolidate expenditure by reducing duplication and redundancy across capabilities
  • Interface with Enterprise PMO to modify/de-prioritize projects that are not aligned with or adding value to the future state transformation road-map
  • Identify leading technology trends and their applicability to SNCACCOUNTABILITY:
    • Responsible for building and maintaining customer relations --- whether they are internal or external customers
    • Oversee and direct project performance, including proposal development, project plans, financial status, technical, and contractual performance----
    • Oversees project--resource requirements and planning----
    • Ensures timely, quality delivery of services by utilizing and enforcing systems and networks that foster--good horizontal collaboration and support enterprise objectives
    • Takes responsibility for building a strong and committed team for their responsible area, function and enterprise
    • Explores, influences, and promotes insights on how market and industry changes may impact the enterprise or functional area
    • Takes overall responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering strategic communication of objectives and priorities for area or function--
    • Holds teams accountable to performance metrics by ensuring adequate tracking and measurement mechanisms are in place to support excellent performance
    • Holds overall responsibility for building the capabilities of a large and diverse workforce across a key part of the enterprise
    • Articulates a vision for their teams by distilling enterprise-wide strategies into implications for responsible area or function
    • Takes responsibility for designing, developing KPIs that address enterprise objectives, and delivering measurable results as set for own area of discipline

        • Responsible for timely execution of all personnel-related activities such as Time Sheet completion, Performance Evaluations, Salary Reviews, Succession Planning, etc.

            • Bachelor---s Degree, preferably in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science
            • Executive level experience; industry experience preferred
            • Extensive experience with enterprise architecture, capability planning, and alignment of IT to corporate and BU strategy
            • Desired experience with standing up an Enterprise Architecture function and drafting reference architecture
            • Positive and proactive leadership style, with strong executive presence and excellent communication skills
            • Minimum Fundamental Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities as stated in SNC---s Responsibility Matrix.
            • Proven management and leadership skills. Results-oriented with strong business sense and the ability to interact with clients, senior management and staff to drive revenue for SNC--
            • Demonstrated financial responsibility including successful long-term planning while adapting to immediate--changing customer demands
            • A demonstrated strategic thinker, proven capable of integrating diverse inputs, encouraging innovation, and challenging the status quo
            • Successful, progressive leadership experience working in a highly-matrixed environment
            • Experience supporting a significant change (i.e., strategy, operations, process, structure, culture, or behavior) and demonstrated ability to bring others along successfully
            • Evidence of strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to defend ideas, respect the ideas of others, and be receptive to considering and integrating alternative perspectives
            • Evidence of building revenue or market share in an evolving, competitive landscape
            • Demonstrated success recruiting, building, developing, coaching, and retaining a highly-motivated, high-performing workforce
            • Successful track record in delivering results, and a positive reputation within related industries (e.g., technology, military, government, engineering, or aerospace); may also have mid-market company experience working in Aerospace and Defense-related corporationsIMPORTANT NOTICES:
