Job Description:

**Registered Nurse Opportunity**

Seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse to provide safe and compassionate care to patients in a medical surgical environment at our new rehab hospital in Northwest Reno.

**Responsibilities**

* Involves patients and families in care assessment, considering psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population-specific, and diversity needs.
* Constructs and implements individualized plans of care using nursing knowledge and skill, integrating direct and indirect patient care activities.
* Coordinates interdisciplinary care plans, developing goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient needs.
* Completes hourly rounds to strengthen nurse communication, improve safety, and anticipate patient needs.
* Collaborates with patients' designated care partners to meet educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
* Follows communication practices that minimize risks associated with handoffs among providers and across transitions in care.

**Requirements**

* Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
* Current Nevada nursing license
* Current BLS certificate
* One year full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care setting preferred
