Responsibilities Our NW Free Standing ED provides 24/7 emergency
care in a convenient Reno setting. As a full-service emergency
room, we can treat life-threatening injuries as well as less urgent
issues. At this facility, a skilled team of emergency-trained
physicians, nurses, imaging and laboratory staff deliver the same
high-quality care as our hospital ER. The ER features a wide range

looking for an ED Tech II that will assists with basic patient care
based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice
under direct supervision of the registered nurse. Maintains
environment that is prepared for patient care. Job
Duties/Responsibilities: - Demonstrates supportive behaviors
necessary for performing bedside report using IMAP & SBAR (both
accomplished in partnership with patient inside room) - Takes,
documents and reports vital signs. Reports abnormal results
immediately to registered nurse. - Assists registered nurse and
physicians during examinations and treatment. - Demonstrates
knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life
span and the skills necessary to provide age appropriate care to
the patients served. Able to interpret data about the patient’s
status in order to identify each patient’s age specific needs and

Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. One (1) year
experience in acute hospital setting or with ambulance service
preferred. Current BLS Certification. Current EMT-1 or EMT-P
Certification (For ED Tech 2) or CNA certification Basic arrhythmia
course (may obtain within six [6] months of hire). Medical
terminology preferred Proof of Intravenous Skills through EMT I/P
program with validation of skills upon hire prior to performing
