Job Description: Limited Term Up to 6 Months POSITION SUMMARY The
Cardiac Sonographer II performs advanced heart ultrasound
procedures to evaluate heart structures and blood flow. This role
follows departmental protocols and organizational policies. Key
responsibilities include conducting detailed heart ultrasound exams
to assess heart anatomy and function, analyzing ultrasound data to
help diagnose heart conditions, ensuring high-quality images
through careful technique, working with cardiologists and other
healthcare professionals to provide diagnostic information, staying
updated on new ultrasound techniques and technologies, operating
and maintaining ultrasound equipment, and educating patients while
ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures. POSITION
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Licensure/Certification: Graduate from an
accredited Cardiac Sonography Program or equivalent education that
meets the credentialing requirement pathway required
Knowledge/Experience: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
(RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification
required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the
Red Cross or American Heart Association required. Minimum 2 years
of cardiac sonographer experience required. Ability to perform
transesophageal Echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, complex
adult transthoracic echocardiograms, bubble studies, ultrasound
enhancing agent studies, AV and VV optimization, and compose
preliminary reports are all preferred skills to possess. Skills:
Written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive
information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences,
including non-medical people. Well-developed time management and
organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize
assignments and work. Working knowledge of computer applications,
such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook),
electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and
communication system (PACS). Must be able to work independently, as
well as part of a team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in
an environment with interruptions. Ability to physically transport
echo machine throughout the hospital
