Coeur Mining, Inc. is a well-diversified growing precious metals producer with five operations in North America. Coeur's wholly owned operations include the Palmarejo gold-silver complex in Mexico, the Rochester silver-gold mine in Nevada, the Kensington gold mine in Alaska, the Wharf gold mine in South Dakota and the Silvertip silver-zinc-lead mine in British Columbia. In addition, the Company has interests in several precious metals exploration projects throughout North America. Coeur's headquarters are located in Chicago, IL.

Coeur Rochester, a subsidiary of Coeur Mining, is seeking a Senior HR Business partner for its Rochester Mine near Lovelock, NV.

Reporting the Human Resources Manager, the Senior HR Business Partner is responsible for providing HR counsel and support. The Senior HR Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support. The role will be critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.


  • The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development of HR within the company
  • A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
  • Experience with rapid and complex changing work environments.
  • Implement and maintain people planning and forecasting initiatives
  • A strong solutions focus and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.
  • Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement to support Coeur's values, mission and objectives
  • Complete the annual planned activities (e.g. Talent and Performance Management, budgeting, etc.)
  • Ensure legal compliance in all activities
  • A strong solutions focus and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.
  • Being an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
  • Conduct internal workplace investigations and handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Provide training and coaching for coworkers and staff at all levels


  • BA/BS degree or equivalent related experience
  • 8+ years of experience in a senior HR role with broad knowledge and experience in human resource management.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment and labor laws required
  • Demonstrated ability working with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities
  • Experience with HRIS and enterprise software preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking
  • Proficient in computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well within a team environment
