Primary Responsibilities:

  • Career track of documented accomplishments in increasingly complex HR and corporate leadership roles. Professional credentials and documented accomplishments with skills honed successfully serving as a corporate HR leader preferably in the Defense Industry. International experience is considered a plus
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic thinking in the deployment of  human capital. Documented accomplishments orchestrating the HR function with proven ability to lead with confidence a Human Resources department supporting an advancing enterprise with multi-site operations. Corporate HR policy-making experiences with record for orchestrating HR services as a strategic and tactical business function required
  • Record for successfully orchestrating human resources in support of the goals of continuous growth within an expansive enterprise. Superior organizational skills with an excellent record and acumen for strategic planning of human resource initiatives. Proven assessment and problem solving skills, with ability to add value and increase organizational effectiveness through the alignment of human assets to contain costs and improve financial performance
  • Leadership acumen to perform as a true strategic partner to top company executives. Presence and demeanor to interface and work collaboratively with leaders and skill to make significant contributions on key leadership committees to include the Ethics and Compensation Committees
  • Working knowledge and expertise in executive compensation issues and strategies required. Skilled in mentoring at the executive level
  • Thorough knowledge of and direct experience with development of competitive Total Reward programs
  • Thorough knowledge with direct experience and documented accomplishments establishing and orchestrating effective recruitment, development, retention and talent management programs and initiatives. Record of achievement for identifying, predicting success, and winning candidates within a competitive environment at all levels
  • Record for successfully managing employee risk to include employee relations and having a strong knowledge and understanding of Federal, State and Local employment regulations and laws
  • Proven ability to establish and lead HR as a strategic and tactical resource for company executives, department managers and supervisors in coordinating HR initiatives, programs, procedures, and policies
  • Demonstrated past success in development and implementation of learning and develop programs for all levels of employees
  • Proven leadership in developing, testing and orchestrating sound personnel policies, procedures, plans and objectives to advance overall effectiveness, organizational efficiency, and profitability
  • Expertise to develop, plan, and manage department budgets
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, and integration
  • Professional credibility with working knowledge of industry trends and best practices relative to human resources in multi-site, matrix environments. Proven skill in building a scalable HR program, capable of growing with the organization
  • Conscientious attitude to lead the organization’s management of its human resources as a vital part of overall marketplace competitiveness. Genuine appreciation of HR’s role in strategies and tactics designed to establish a workplace where all company employees experience a productive, engaging and healthy environment
  • Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree a plus, professional certification, and evidence of continuing education

Must Haves:

  • BS/BA in related field. Relevant work experience may substitute for required education
  • Minimum 10-15 years of progressive Leadership Experience
  • Knowledge of employment laws and requirements

  • Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with leaders at all levels
  • Ability to handle all types of proprietary and confidential information


  • Master's Degree
  • Typically 15-20 years of relevant Leadership experience; 12+ years demonstrated experience Human Resources
  • Active SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR/GPHR Certification
  • Skills in assessing external competition by gathering data from multiple, often disparate, qualitative and quantitative sources and synthesizing it into meaningful reports and presentations
  • Possess leadership acumen to perform as a true strategic partner to top company executives; ability to establish presence and demeanor to interface and work collaboratively with leaders and skill to make significant contributions on key leadership committees
  • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and integration
  • Demonstrated passion for ideation and innovation, as well as motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose.
  • Proven long-term and strategic perspective that extends beyond the immediate initiatives; visualizes and articulates a clear direction
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense (Civilian), NASA/Civil or commercial space and/or US Military, with an understanding of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent markets
