About the team
The Care Operations team is dedicated to creating and applying innovative and efficient process-driven solutions as well as delivering a superior service experience and enhanced product value to each of our Customers daily within the Care organization. The team assists on a wide range of issues across the Care Organization in areas such as specialized service support, call center management support, and corporate project partnering. In alignment with our company s core values, we strive to maintain the highest level of Customer satisfaction through management of external and internal metrics, focused on defined quality standards.
About the job
The Lead Developer, Care Operations enables Care the organization take better informed business decisions through their work. This individual acts as a SME for the business providing routine business analysis using various techniques, e. g. statistical analysis, explanatory, and data mining on Customer Care data. This person is responsible for completing data requests for the Care Organization using SQL and statistical analysis They will work to automate recurring tasks, enhancing the team s efficiency, and mentoring junior team member to advance their skills with BI Dashboard development. The Lead Developer will work end-to-end in designing, developing, and maintaining dashboards by collaborating with stakeholders. The Lead Developer role will require a broad understanding of our products and business and data landscape, ability to design reports and have strong analytical skills, written and verbal communication skills. This individual must have adaptivity to apply skills to new tools and is expected to exemplify Best Buy Health s core values and behaviors on a daily basis

  • Develop comprehensive tools that allow data to be transformed into business insights to enable informed high-level decision making and strategic planning
  • Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities
  • Work end-to end to design, build, develop, and maintain cutting edge automated dashboards that show real-time and historical performance, including Service levels, adherence, staffing and other real time objectives across the Caring Center department
  • Create and own metrics / reporting /dashboards and finance models for business decision support
  • Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables by developing and maintaining quality controls and departmental standards
  • Anticipate future demands related to people, technology, budget or operations and design/implement solutions to meet these needs
  • Support adhoc data requests using SQL and statistical analysis
  • Automate recurring tasks, making frequently requested data sources more quickly accessible for business leaders
  • Mentor junior team members to advance their skills in developing BI dashboards.
  • Serve as a role model to your team and others by demonstrating and promoting the Best Buy Health values and guiding behaviors
  • Adhere to all Company procedures, protocols and processes, as well as Federal and State regulations
  • Meet or exceed the established productivity and quality and quality goals for each period
  • Other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications
    • 2 years working experience with Tableau, Power BI or other Visualization Software
    • 2 years working with relational database concepts and intermediate knowledge and experience working with SQL
    • 3 years progressive hands-on experience in business intelligence, reporting and analytics
    • Experience with creation and ownership of metrics / reporting /dashboards and/or finance models for business decision support
    • Knowledge of relational and dimensional database structures, theories, principals and practice
    • Demonstrated ability to understand new datasets and data structures
    • Strong business acumen to help correlate numbers to business insights and outcomes
    • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Preferred Qualifications
      • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field The person who fills this role will must be within a commutable distance to the Reno NV, Carlsbad CA, San Diego CA, San Antonio TX or Novi MI office.
