    The DC IT Technician provides direct support and problem resolution for Distribution Center IT services. The DC Technician also works directly with the SanMar IT department to resolve complex issues and maintain the hardware and software in the distribution center.

    Basic Schedule Options Include
    Fulltime hours: Either 10:30am - 7:00pm OR 11:30am - 8:00pm Monday-Friday

    • Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area by adhering to SanMar's safety regulations.
    • Provide assistance to staff and users in solving computer and warehouse technology problems.
    • Provide installation and support of computer hardware and software (including peripheral devices such as printers).
    • Test, maintain, keep organized inventory, monitor computers and other hardware, such as Radio Frequency (RF) units and Vocollect headsets.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues by partnering with IT.
    • Troubleshoot and maintain conveyor sensors and logic controllers.
    • Train staff and users to work with computer systems and programs.
    • Recommend new equipment or software packages to GM.
    • Partner with HR to ensure IT resources are available for new hires and terminations are processed in a timely manner.
    • Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:

      • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
      • Knowledge of basic networking and connectivity.
      • Knowledge of basic computer security practices.
      • Knowledge of Android OS
      • Ability to quickly diagnose and fix problems.
      • Desire to learn new skills.
      • Ability to follow through and document issues as well as resolutions.
      • Ability to work independently or with a team.
      • Mandatory overtime as required, which may include weekends. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
        • Approximately 2-4 years of experience supporting applications and hardware.
        • Experience troubleshooting PC hardware and software issues. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

          While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


          Work environment is moderately noisy. The employee is occasionally required to work near conveyor systems. There is exposure to dust and changes in weather conditions. Employee must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines. Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels.
