Job DescriptionGivens is Driven To Deliver - both for our customers and our employees. Since 1957 Givens has provided customers a single source solution for warehouse, distribution, transportation, packing and crating and air freight services. While we have only been in the Reno area for one year our operation is growing and we have an urgent need for a Lead Forklift Operator. As the Lead Forklift Operator you will assist the Operations Manager in shipping, receiving, keeping an accurate inventory, operating a forklift and other warehouse operational needs. You will help lead staff in the support of operations to satisfy customer expectations and meet company goals.

• Regularly work independently with little to no supervision
• Lead and train others in the accomplishment of assigned tasks
• Display initiative to solve problems and provide feedback to improve processes
• Generate and use system reports to improve operational efficiency
• Understand the Productivity System and capable of using it to monitor performance
• Become familiar with the Warehouse Management System
• Capable of opening or closing building
• Capable of planning staffing needs
• Provide feedback to Operations Manager on performance of subordinates
• Perform as a Supervisor on a limited basis

• Successfully complete other duties as assignedRequirements
  • Superior Forklift Skills with at least five years' experience
  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Comply with policies/procedures including established safety and FIFO procedures
  • Attention to detail
  • Exhibits leadership skills, professionalism and patience at all times
  • Good communication, time management and organizational skills
