Job Description:
Job Description Pacific Aerospace, LLC is seeking energetic
individuals who are interested in joining our operations team as a
shipping/receiving clerk and material inspector. Our company
repairs Avionic Equipment used on commercial and general aviation
aircraft. Responsibilities: Package, address, stamp, and ship
merchandise or material Unpack, inspect, verify, and record
incoming parts or material Arrange appropriate transportation of
products Perform other warehouse duties as assigned Assist the
office staff with clerical duties as required Qualifications:
Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or other related fields
Work independently Ability to handle physical workload - ability to
lift up to 50 pounds Ability to multitask and prioritize Ability to
thrive in fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills
Attention to detail Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be
subject to random drug / alcohol testing In this position, you will
be working with our Operations Manager/Assistant Operations Manager
to process inbound packages, prepare packages to ship, and perform
other tasks that align with current projects or initiatives within
the company. A typical day will involve receiving approximately 15
- 20 packages. While this volume seems low, the process is a very
detail orientated task which will involve inspections of the
paperwork received, in addition to performing inspections of the
component received. Information is input into a computer system,
and then paperwork is processed in a specific manner to help ensure
an expedient flow through our shop. This can take approximately 2 -
3 hours. In the afternoon, the focus will change from receiving to
shipping. On an average day, approximately 10 items will ship out.
Much like receiving, this is a detail orientated task which
involves confirming the details of the item shipping. Some of these
items are valued at a few thousand dollars - others can be worth
tens of thousands of dollars - so care must be taken for each and
every item that leaves our facility to ensure it arrives intact and
undamaged. In the downtime between tasks, various other duties will
be assigned. An example of the duties will include wrapping and
preparing items for storage, and cleaning/general organization. As
mentioned above, other tasks that align with current initiatives
within the company will be assigned as required. The job will also
include cross-training to support the office staff and general
manager with clerical work and record keeping. This job does not
require any special certifications or skills. Operation of a
forklift is not a requirement for this position. Note that this is
not a fulfillment center position. Our company does not ship
thousands (or even hundreds) of products a day - and is extremely
low volume. However, this job does require someone that has a keen
attention to detail. The starting wage for this position will be
between $12.00 - $15.00 an hour based on your experience. This is a
full time position. Monday - Friday work schedule, starting at 8:00
AM and ending at 5:00 PM with a 1 hour lunch break. To be
considered for the position, please submit your resume with a brief
cover letter explaining why you think you would be a good candidate
for the company. Please do not contact us via phone about your
application; Walk in visits are highly discouraged and will most
likely lead to an immediate rejection. Company Description Aircraft
Instrument, Radio, and Accessory Repair Station. We repair a wide
variety of parts for commercial aircraft.
