The Electrician position is a contributing member of a solar
installation construction crew. The Electrician is responsible to
work as a team to complete residential solar installation
projects.

invest in increasing their home value. As a Solar Electrician, you
will be our primary point of contact on the ground and integrally
involved with the entire process of helping customers go solar.
Electricians must be well versed in residential wiring and able to
coordinate with multiple crew members during the installation
process. This position will require the individual to have the
ability to communicate with other crew members and our corporate
office effectively and efficiently. Reliable communication is
absolutely crucial.
Responsibilities:
--- Reviews inventory at the loading dock to ensure assigned crew
truck is stocked adequately
--- Completes all aspects of solar panel installation, including
layout and assembly of solar modules, mechanical and structural
mounts, electrical equipment, and tools in the preparation of
installation, and applying weather sealing
--- Ensures a clean and orderly job site
--- Performs project clean-up, including client site and
installation vehicle
--- Ensures personal, crew, and job site safety at all times
--- Participates in mandatory training sessions on new products,
installation methodology, and safety
--- Working knowledge of current NEC codes
--- Must have working knowledge and experience replacing
residential electrical services and distribution panels
--- PV Solar installation experience is preferred but not
required
--- Must be experienced with all required hand/power tools
associated with the electrical trade
--- Ability to read and interpret single-line drawings
--- Must be comfortable working from ladders and at height
Qualifications:
--- High school diploma or equivalent
--- Previous solar, construction, or military experience preferred
but not required
--- Ability to interact with customers and coworkers in a courteous
and professional manner
--- Proven ability to meet deadlines and key metrics
--- Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces,
which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing,
kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance, as well as
climbing ladders
--- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not
limited to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet
environment, and humidity
--- Ability to walk on rafters, roof tiles, and roof shingles
without damage, as well as in confined spaces such as attics,
basements, and crawl spaces
--- Follow up with instructions
--- must be able to lift 50 pounds
--- Comfortable with heights
Responsibilities:
--- Ensure that the work is performed in a professional and
workmanlike manner to conform to existing national and local
building codes
--- Work cooperatively with team members to complete residential
solar installations
--- Diagnose and troubleshoot system components to resolve
electrical issues
--- Lead the installation of electrical systems that interconnect
the solar array to the grid
--- Ensure work performed is of good workmanship and compliant with
current NEC and local codes
--- Work with crew members and homeowners to fulfill any necessary
system troubleshooting to support solar equipment installation
