The **QMC Inventory** **Control** **Specialist** performs
activities associated with management of inventory to maintain
optimal supply including purchasing, inventory control and data
accuracy, and transactional reporting. The Inventory Control
Specialist also participates in production scheduling with the
+ Ensures the execution of inventory transaction records including
raw material and labor, purchase order receipts, shop order
receipts, and finished goods movement and shipment. Develops,
documents, trains on and audits transactional processes. Drives
continuous improvement activities and influences the management
+ Ensures data accuracy for parts, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and
inventory. Performs formal audits of BOMs, inventory, shop orders,
and inventory/production costs. Investigates variances.
+ Communicates with Sales and the management team to ensure
accurate production scheduling, reporting and material usage.
+ Ensures timely execution and management of all inventory
replenishment activity utilizing available tools and methods as
agreed upon by the management team.
+ Purchases inventory materials and optimizes inventory levels of
production inventory. Creates purchase requisitions and purchase
orders as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated sales and inventory
control experience. Other desired qualifications include but are
not limited to:
+ Between 2 and 5 years of inventory control experience
+ APICS CPIM certification expected within 18 months of
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience working in the construction
industry as a supplier, contractor, or office support function.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office (Email, Spreadsheet, Word
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong organizational skills.
