Responsibilities
Hamilton Company is looking for a Lead Maintenance Repair Tech who
will work under the supervision of the Manufacturing Engineering
Manager. The Lead Maintenance Technician will have the duties and
obligations of supporting equipment and facility maintenance,
upgrade, and expansion as required for the Laboratory Products
department.
- Complete basic repairs necessary to maintain the proper
operating condition of production and facility equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on production and facility
equipment as defined by the preventive maintenance program
- Apply and enforce all safety procedures and precautions
necessary to prevent equipment and facility dangers to company
personnel
- Assist in the complicated production and facility equipment
repairs, functions, and support all facility modifications
- Support all repairs and maintenance through procurement of all
necessary repair parts and services
- Responsible for purchasing, consuming, and tracking spare parts
inventory
- Responsible for tooling, electronics, software, and company
issued property are kept in working order per the preventative
maintenance programs in place
- Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, EHS,
Operations personnel, and Leadership teams
- Understand, troubleshoot, develop PLC, servo systems,
ControlLogix, Ladder Logic
- Experience in advanced manufacturing line development, skunk
works projects, implementation with engineering team
- Robot troubleshooting, programming, honing. Be critical
contributor to new automation systems
- OEE, equipment availability and readiness mindset
- Develop, implement, and manage equipment spares and identify
critical spares to have on hand per each work center
- Identify, troubleshoot, and implement alternative processes
needed for safety concerns
- Adept at defining, documenting, training, and implementing
equipment recovery plans
- Identify, document, and train routine maintenance tasks for
production associates
Qualifications
- Must be able to demonstrate problem solving skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting machine related
issues, while minimizing downtime
- Experience with PLC's, Ladder diagrams, and electronic
troubleshooting preferred
- Experience in working with 480 VAC and lower voltages, wiring
electrical cabinets, troubleshooting with electrical meters, amp
clamps, mergers, etc.
- Must have knowledge and experience to complete repairs on basic
machine shop equipment
- Must have working knowledge of safety procedures and
precautions to prevent equipment and facility dangers to personnel
and self
- Must have working knowledge and experience to support facility
repair and modifications
- Ability to complete tasks accurately, efficiently and in a
timely manner
- Demonstrate an aptitude and desire to develop maintenance
skills and repair techniques
- Position includes a variety of physical conditions, such as
proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working
on scaffolding and high places or exposure to chemicals
- Must be physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and
reach
- Knowledgeable of MSDS sheets as they pertain to daily
activities
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in industrial plant maintenance
- Technical Certificate and/or LEAP or CTE Program Completion
Preferred
- 5-10 years previous experience in a maintenance technician role
in a manufacturing environment.

Mid Salary
