The City of Fallon functions with a mayor-council form of government. The City Council consists of three elected officials from three wards. As chief executive officer, the Mayor is responsible for the day-to-day operations and oversight of the City and its enterprises. The City functions with six departments, which include: City Attorney, Clerk and Treasurer, Emergency Management, Engineering and Public Works, Municipal Court, and Police Department. Under the general supervision of the Deputy Public Works Director and the Public Works Director, the Journeyman Lineman will oversee primary and secondary power distribution systems for the City of Fallon. This position requires candidates to possess either the experience or the education listed below. Any combination of experience or training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties will be considered. --- A high school diploma or GED. --- A Journeyman Lineman Card. --- Six (6) years of primary and secondary electrical distribution line work experience plus passage of a standardized lineman's qualification exam. --- Four (4) year apprenticeship/journeyist plus pass of a lineman's test. --- Commercial Driver's License. --- Knowledge of primary and secondary electrical power distribution systems.
