Aerospace Company of the YearAssociate Business Analysts will spend up to three months learning the roles of each of 4-6 departments and then will be mapped into one of these positions or will be transferred a position according to their skill set and current job openings at all SNC Locations. The Associate Business Analyst will acquire the skills listed in each training agenda.Training Agenda Project Analyst:

  • Learn how to use Cobra and understand the types of files:
    • Project, Calendars, Codes, Rates, Resources
    • Learn how to set up a new Cobra project:
      • CPFF/FFP, T&M, Multiple Contract Types, Futures
      • Learn how to price a proposal in Cobra:
        • First Iteration, Re-Pricing, Multiple Contract Types, T&M,
        • Learn how to status a project during CPPM:
          • Direct Projects, B&Ps, IR&Ds, T&Ms
          • Learn how to create, analyze, and format Time-Phased (CAP), Cost/Fee/Revenue (CPR), and Contract Performance Reports (CPR)
          • Learn how to develop the IPMR slides and assemble the IPMR package
          • Learn how to analyze the Orders Forecast and load futures into Cobra
          • Learn the different types of Data Quality Initiatives (DQIs) and how to resolve them
          • Learn how to create Bi-Monthly Timesheet reports and route them for approval
          • Learn how to create Bi-Weekly Overhead reports and format them (Sparks only)
          • Learn how to identify labor overbookings and work with the Program Manager to resolve them (Sparks only)
          • Learn how to process a program support ticket
          • Learn how to properly set up a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
          • Understand the Transaction Files used to integrate MSP data into Cobra
          • Understand how the Program Managers use MSP and learn how to troubleshoot problems
          • Learn how to run, format, and analyze different Enterprise BI (EBI) reports:
          • Timesheet (TC), Cobra Detail, Non-Labor G/L Detail, Orders Forecast, Outstanding Commitments, Employee Info, POP Exceptions, Live Actuals, CostPoint Project Modifications
          • Any additional tasks as required by rotation managementTraining Agenda Financial Analyst:
            • Learn to prepare FMR package within CPPM schedule
            • Learn to create and analyze the Orders package
            • Analyze and interpret the financial analysis package
            • Learn techniques to assist with updating Business Area and Org P&L statements
            • Assist with data validation
            • Any additional tasks as required by rotation managementTraining Agenda Pricing Support:
              • Understand SNC Direct Accounts and use in proposing direct costs
              • Understand SNC s Forward Pricing Rate Agreement (FPRA) and Forward Pricing Rate Package (FPRP) vs Government Forward Pricing Rate Recommendation (FPRR)
              • Learn how to complete FAR spreadsheets and when they are required
              • Know SharePoint libraries and content types for proposal emails, RFPs, SOW and pricing document/spreadsheets
              • Learn how to run Enterprise BI reports and format them for proposal pricing and variance analysis
              • Learn the meaning of Cost or Pricing Data and Other than Cost or Pricing Data , and when such data is required
              • Understand SNC adherence to our PMAP (Program Management and Planning) for proposal development and submittal.
              • Understand the relationship between SNC and DCMA/DCAA
              • Learn the structure of a Bill of Material and other non-labor cost summary formats
              • Learn to create a FAR compliant Cross Reference Matrix, ACBR, and Price Summary by WBS reports to insert into the proposal
              • Understand the different types of proposals/contracts (FFP, CPFF, T&M) and billing methods
              • Learn the requirements of preparing sanitized copies of proposals
              • Understand proposal development for Sole Source vs Competitive
              • Learn what is required in order to assist Contracts prior and during customer negotiations
              • Understand the relationship between programs, proposals, and contracts
              • Understand the Proposal (3.0) and Negotiation (3.1) gates in SalesLogix (SLX), identifying required input fields
              • Complete publication and submittal of a hardcopy proposal
              • Learn how to generate a BOE export and what to look for when reviewing
              • Learn to complete and analyze a weighted guidelines

                                            • Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications
                                            • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
                                            • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies
                                            • Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment
                                            • Capability to meet schedules and deadlines
                                            • This position requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills, along with strong analytical ability
                                            • The ability to handle many tasks at one time and to work with deadlines
                                            • Proficiency in Word & Excel
