Job Description:

Kforce is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for Infrastructure Programs On-site with our client in Sparks, NV. This is a 3-6 month contract to hire role.

About the role:
As the Senior-Lead Electrical Engineer, you would be the primary electrical engineering lead & a senior member of the team for the design & engineering efforts to support construction of infrastructure development, from concept level to production.

Responsibilities:

• Senior Electrical Engineer will lead all electrical design, concept evaluations, decisions, leading to completion of construction drawings for permit & construction execution
  
• Coordination with local utility provider
  
• Manage multiple projects throughout planning, design, bid, & construction phases
  
• Drive support staff, internal & 3rd-party engineers
  
• Interface with external Engineering, Procurement, & Construction firms during bid & project execution phases as needed to ensure that designs & specifications meet our Engineering Standards
  
• Understand fault currents, complete voltage drop calculations & know the difference
  
• Utilize REVIT MEP & AutoCAD
  
• Complete design packages using Revit
  
• Use Electrical Design experience to size breakers & feeders in accordance with NEC
  
• Use National Electric Code to create drawings in compliance with national codes
  
• Interface & collaborate with engineers from multiple disciplines
  
• Produce complex technical drawings including single line diagrams, layout drawings, panel schedules; Verify using field surveys & develop as-builts
  
• Develop simple to mid-level designs/layouts through fabrication level 3D models
  
• Develop quantity take offs & assist with cost estimating for projects in short time frames
  
• Effectively & proactively communicate project needs, changes, & status to internal/external team members
  
• Develop & mentor less experienced engineering staff
